Normally i have no trade threads but i'll make an exception probably get some flak for posting/suggesting this.
The nets are screwed royally. aint no way in hell is dwill.
so why not trade him to the utah jazz. without giving up favors/millsap/burks/hayward/harris and kanter. all others are game.
with favors sap burks hayward harris and kanter. dwill might be enticed to resign with jazz(maybe not for a fair price).

any pacakge of watson, tinsly, raja, howard, evans, jefferson and some future picks would be great to give up for dwill.
can they get a better deal.
only teams able to take the risk to trade for dwill are lakers and mavs. even lakers and mavs could wait until the offseason and sign him straight up.
also boston might trade rondo and some other stuff for him
all other teams cant put together a package and get dwill to resign.

so if i was jazz front office i'll wait till the nets are 1-15 and then call them

wit a core of
dwill/harris
burks
hayward
sap/kanter
favors/kanter

jazz will be beasts

While Dwill is clearly better than Harris I do not want him on the Jazz and I doubt he would want to be here. I think his relationship with the FO is irrepairably damaged. The whole Sloan thing and the fan base turning on him, the way the trade went down...

Personally I don't give people crap for posting trade threads. Shows they are looking for ways to improve the team and to me that is a good thing.

but maybe dwill and management can be all grown up about this.
I mean if the detroit brawler changed his name to metta world peace.
dwill and the frontoffice could kiss and make up.

and dwill has seen how bad it could get by playing for the nets, he thought he had it bad in utah. but now he sees how bad it could really get.
also fans will forgive i think, everbody knows the story about the prodigal sons.

hel even cavs fan would forgive lebron if after a few years he says sorry and goes to play for cavs

They could but they won't. Also I think chemistry would be a problem. I got the impression that DWill was not to pleased with a couple Jazz players such as Hayward and Jefferson.

Would you trade Favors, Kanter and Harris for Al Jefferson, Raja Bell, Tinsley and a late first round draft pick? That's what you would essentially be doing since DWill would turn out to be nothing but a placeholder in the scenario you propose.

This trade would get the NJ GM fired, so it's not going to happen. It would mean that he essentially shipped away his franchises near term future for a load of our crap. On top of that, I don't really think DWill is the guy we want, anyway, and on top of that he'd be very unlikely to re-sign since the Lakers, Mavs and maybe the Knicks are likely to extend offers. DWill knows that big market = big endorsement deals.
