The Cavs drafted Waiters well beyond where he was actually projected to be. There's a reason they did that and I'm not sure it'd be wise to give up on whatever reason that was in less than a year.
Lots of wiggle room there, lol.

Jazz trade
Millsap
Jefferson
Mo
For
Dion Waiters
Varejao
Gibson (garbage piece/salary filler)
Walton (garbage piece/salary filler)
Main reason is to get Waiters. Cleveland might have messed up their draft with a little bit of redundancy with Waiters and Erving. Waiters is an undersized shooting guard that is looking like he can play point guard. He averaged nice assists while Erving was out, and he runs the point on their second unit.
I have no idea how this would go. Im just pulling it out my ***, because it sounded fun to make a trade thread.
Why we do it- Its better than not taking a chance, and not trying to get better. And for other obvious reasons.
Why Cleveland does it.- They pretend that they arent just getting back soon to be UFA's. And they suck pretty good. Who knows, maybe they think they can re-sign Al or Paul for a good deal. If they want a pick or two then sure. Why not?
It works in the trade machine.
I bet we all wish we had Dion Waiters and the Ghost of Varejao instead of Rodney Hood and a 2017 first-round pick.
But he totally predicted that GSW salary-dump tarde.
moar genius.
This trade is terrible.
I agree: the trade you suggested is terrible. We finally agree on something.
So what?
Compared to how many bad ideas you have had. It's not close. I've missed a couple, but nowhere near your level. 150-160 levels worse you are.
That's why you are stuck rebumping only a couple threads, and I can bump endless bad idea thread from you.
