I like Arenas way of settling arguments better...I hope they get in a fist fight over it. Will make them stronger
I thought that last year. You used to be able to change numbers whenever you wanted, and there was also a league rule the player with most years in the league got to choose if two players wanted the same number. When Polynice joined the Jazz he wanted #0 but Ostertag had #00; you can't have #0 and #00 on the same team, so Polynice pulled rank and got #0, Ostertag changed to #39. A lot of times, a player who really wanted a number could 'buy' it off the veteran, but a few years ago the league decided to change the rules on jersey number changes (presumably jersey suppliers and sellers were complaining). It's not who signed first picks up a number. It's the player with more years in the league picks up first. Even if the player comes mid-season he may choose already taken number if he wishes as long as he's been longer in the league.
I hope he takes #8. Wearing Deron's jersey sounds very good to me.
So that he can turn into DWill 2.0? Are you feeling alright today bro????
No. I was not a fan of DWill so I want to have good associations with #8 and I don't want to remember DWill. Same with #5. I wanted Kanter to take this number so they see that they can be easily replaced... A new era with better potential. I hated Boozer and DWill amd that's why I want other guys to take their numbers...
