Year 2 - 37% / 33% on 12.9 shots/per game

Second to only Hayward both seasons in FGA. So one of the LEAST efficient shooters is chucking up the second most shots. Doesn't matter if he starts or comes off the bench; he's still the same "me-first" player. Which MIGHT be fine if he were actually MAKING shots. And he's not exactly a defensive stopper, either.

Well, you can sacrifice a little if the guard is a defensive stud or a real facilitator. Certainly Rondo was like that for several years. And Dante MIGHT fit into that category eventually. But when you AREN'T making shots, you shouldn't be one of the leading guys in terms of attempts.

I'd say MINIMUM, you'd want Trey to be around 42%/35%. And with Hayward, Exum, Burks and Hood all capable of initiating plays, Jazz don't necessarily need a true "PG" as their backup. Utah could look for a combo guard to replace Trey. I'd even argue Trey really isn't a true PG; he shoots too much and assists too little. He's like a poor man's Mo Williams (when Mo was in his Milwaukee/Cleveland days). What Utah needs is a player who can consistently knock down the 3, but not need to be ball dominant. Utah DOESN'T need a backup PG who insists on driving 1-on-3 and ignoring players who have better shot opportunities.
