No, they teach "an Apple a day..."
But shouldn't the alarms have gone off? I've never gone through the self checkout at Apple, but grocery and retail stores do it by weight. The sensors will detect if something has not been scanned through and put in the bagging area. And I'd assume the electronic anti-theft device is supposed to be deactivated only if the item is scanned through. Guess I'm just not smart enough to be a thief.
