Utah college basketball and the NBA

Just had this discussion at work...Who are the best Utah college players that have had played in the NBA?..and where will Jimmer fall in line?

Here is my list:

Danny Ainge, Andre Miller, Andrew Bogut, Keith Van Horn, Michael Doleac.

Im sure I have forgotten someone and will look stupid but where do you all think Jimmer will rank?

I don't think he will be the best NBA player from a Utah college but could possibly be better Van Horn in that list.

Yeah, you forgot one all right!

Andre Miller, Chambers, Bogut, Van Horn, Ainge, Doleac, Mike Newlin, Danny Vranes, Hanno Mottolla, Ronnie Price, Jimmer.

Yeah, I would say either Chambers or Ainge had the best NBA career. I would also assert that Andre Miller has had a more complete NBA career than Van Horn did. It's possible I'm judging him against expectations, rather than on flat merit, but he always had a goofy haircut.

Honestly, I see Jimmer as another Redick/Ridnour. A nice role player.

Shawn Bradley should be above at least Doleac. Kresmir Cosic might have had the best pro career had he chosen to keep playing in America. Obviously I haven't seen much of him so saying that is kind of like rewarding somebody for not doing anything, but the quality of basketball heads that have told me so and the fact that he dominated International basketball events tends to make me believe it might be true.

Seriously Bean? You make that list and forget the very best player on it? I think Chambers is easily the best pro to come out of a Utah college. I would have to agree with Ainge at #2 and I put Andre Miller in at a very strong #3. I believe he's 1 season away from entering the Top 10 in all-time assists. He's quietly put together a very strong NBA career. I finish the list with Bogut, Van Horn, Shawn Bradley and then Doleac.

If Bogut could get out from under the Bucks and play for a team with better talent I think he could break into the top 3.
