Hayward and Evans can't go to the D-League. That will leave the Jazz with only 10 players until Memo gets back.
Besides, D-League is a joke.
During the homestand, why not start Hayward - give him 8 minutes a half as a base with Miles first off the bench and Bell playing the entire second period. Tomorrow night might be a good time to start - Thunder don't run any plays for Thabo.

It's a league rule that you have to keep a minimum of 12 players, right?

It's a union rule that ya gotta pay 12, but aint nuthin that says ya gotta suit up 12 for games, I don't think.

Well, I'm no Kenwood, but I did find the following re: roster size.
Section 1. Active Roster Size.
Each Team agrees to have twelve (12) players on its Active List and to have a minimum of eight (8) players on the bench for all Regular Season games. Notwithstanding the foregoing, any Team may from time to time as appropriate, but for no more than two (2) consecutive weeks at a time during the Regular Season, have eleven (11) players on its Active List.
Section 2. Inactive Roster Size.
Each Team agrees to have one (1) player on its Inactive List for all Regular Season games. Notwithstanding the foregoing, any Team may from time to time as appropriate, but for no more than two (2) consecutive weeks at any time during the Regular Season, have no players on its Inactive List.

I'm sorry but this would be incredibly stupid and I doubt Sloan would do this... Price is giving up a lot of size to the bigger SGs in this league and even though Bell has struggled a bit offensively, he's been great in one on one defense for the most part...
Our defense takes a step backwards if this move is made...

What is it that has impressed you so much about his play so far? Is it the missed assignments? The poor rotations? The indecisiveness? The poor shooting? Getting completely overwhelmed on defense? Pray tell, what "great potential" has he shown when they've let him play?*
*This should not be interpreted as an all-around knock on his future potential. It isn't, I assure you. He's just SO not ready right now.

All this means is that we can't send them down for more than two weeks in a row, and we would have to include Memo (and anyone else who gets injured) on the Active list for that period to make the minimum 11. Last season, Golden State had to name injured players on the Active list just about every game, and once (at least) even dressed an injured player just to make the minimum 8 bench players.
But it would also leave us with just 10 fit players for practice, which I can't see happening when they're trying to integrate so many new players into the offence.
