Utah Jazz - Indiana Pacers Trade Idea

Rudy Gobert plus are number 12 plus GSW 2017 plus are top 3 protected 2017 for Paul George.

Reason Indy does it. They have to rebuild. PG is getting old and could go championship chasing. They know they have to rebuild and what better way than w a ton of draft picks? Plus they get Rudy who automatically makes them better.

Why Utah does it. Favors George hayward Exum plus a top da center is a Destroit style starting 5. Add in Burks Booker some 3 and d and a cut rate point guard and we go deep.

LMAO. that's horrible for the pacers

You cannot trade consecutive years 1st round draft pick, right?

If so this trade is already sunk. Also no way Indiana says yes.

No way we can get PG?

That rule only applies to future first rounders, and even then it only says you can't trade consecutive future firsts if it leaves you without a pick 2 years in a row. Therefore if you have a pick from another team, you can trade two of your own future firsts. In this case, since Utah would be trading both their 2017 firsts, they would merely wait for the draft and make the 12 pick for the pacers, after which it would not be a future pick and so the rule would not apply.

Too bad PG is not available and Gobert is never getting traded as he will be winning multiple championships in Utah.

The end.
