Which player would you vote off in Round 5?

Statistical contribution a single player provides is not the whole picture. Al is in the way of the Jazz getting where they need to be. He's more in the way than any other player on this team, except Roger. What contribution he makes is contribution and learning we're not going to be getting from players with much greater potential than Al.
 
I think people are just looking at this Jefferson situation differently.

Since I figure every player is going to be voted off eventually, I'm going by skill+potential-- Tinsley is definitely a worse player than Jefferson. Other people are voting off by need. Favors needs minutes, and Jefferson takes them from him, thus the Jefferson votes.

I want Jefferson off this team more than anyone else on our roster, but in this particular little game, I'm not voting for him until only him, Millsap, Favors, Kanter, Burks, and Hayward are left.
 
Love how Jefferson keeps getting votes ahead of Marvin Williams.









Actually, I don't really love it. I was using sarcasm to express my consternation over people's perception of Jefferson. I was trying to do that in a way that's a bit safe, in case I get lambasted. See, that way I can say---yeah, that's what I meant, I mean I think Jefferson should go to. Jefferson booo!

I'm voting by skill+potential.

He's not a good fit, but I still think he's a good player. Top 10 C in the league for sure.
 
We're talking about who's the best asset. Hard to make the argument that Tinsley is a better asset than Evans.
 
Before anyone says something about me voting off Al and him being an asset, I believe Al has zero trade value. Not an asset.

I see it differently. I feel he needs to be off the team for Hayward and Favors to play to their full potential. Anything we can get for Al is fine with me, Addition by subtraction.
 
Looks like we're gonna have to band together and take him out in round 6.

someone out there wants al... they may only want him as an expiring contract to go after howard/paul next summer... but somebody wants al out there.

that's a possibility too, if we let him expire. but i'm 99% sure that al could be traded today for something of value. i think the jazz should have to work through their delusions of what al is worth and all be on the same page for one of those deals to actually happen... but c'mon, there's obviously a market for the guy, if the price is right.
