Utah Takes on the TSA

You know the security there serves a purpose. I mean, it is really an extension of universal health care. Can't afford an x-ray? Just go to the airport. And if you mention Al Qaeda you get a free colonoscopy too!

As we reported yesterday, the man who was instrumental in working with the federal government to sabotage the Texas bill was Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst, a former CIA agent and establishment insider considered to be the wealthiest man in Texas politics.

That's the key right there. Does Utah have a plant saboteur in their state government somewhere that is going to threaten economic terrorism on the state if they vote it through too? Not that I know of. That CIA joker should be in jail, just like Henry Paulson should be in jail for threatening marshal law on the country if the stimulus bills weren't passed. And whomever at the Federal government was pulling their strings should be gone as well. Those threats are terrorism.

good. this is good news i like this.

Team Sexual Assualt takes a hit

Even though there is quite a difference between actual legislation moving through state congress and media cacophony, we have already gone through this once. The opt out days did nothing but perhaps make people more aware. The TSA has progressively gotten bolder and subsequently announced more "safety" measures are on the way at more locations since then. So far this legislation hasn't done anything either except highlight the fact that states really don't have much power.

It is good they are trying nonetheless I agree, but these guys will just blow something up if it ever gets to the point of massive revolt to keep justifying the more intrusive technological/groping tyranny.

HaHa

Having gone through security and now sitting in my plane, I'm sharing that one with the rest of my flight crew. Hilarious. That by far trumps
- Thousands Standing Around
- Tub Stacking Agency

What's the security like for you pilots now? If I remember correctly, they backed off of putting you guys through the whole ringer. Is that still the case?

Yeah, for a little while they tried the whole enhanced procedures on pilots. But it didn't go over well and was short lived.
The TSA is a joke, such inconsistencies airport to airport. There has to be security...of course. But they expand way past their bounds. Its all for show, burning way too much dough.
