OK, the networks do not show Jazz games on TV during regular season. I get 70 Cavs games, 60 Warriors games, and 40 friggin' Lonzo Ball Laker games. I get to see the Jazz twice when they play my Knicks and then maybe once when NBA TV shows them at 10:30 at night.
Point is Donovan Mitchell's play is pretty much an unknown to the USA including me. Yes, I see highlights and see his scoring line in the papers, but until this series I really never got to see how he played. 13th pick, I figured he was a bench player who can get playing time when the starters are in foul trouble. The legend Phil Jackson picked Frank Ntilikina 8th for my Knicks and Phil has THIRTEEN! Championships, so we know with his basketball knowledge he made the better choice. He knows Frank the Frenchman is better than Mitchell so he took Frank at 8 in the draft.
All NBA fans know that the Knicks picking 8th got the better player with Frank, I am not here to discuss that; but I will say, man, Mitchell will be a top player in the league in about six or seven years. He is a fun player to watch. Going to get smoked by CP3 and Capela will knock down every shot Mitchell takes, but you've got a good player in Mitchell six or seven years down the line.
