I think the Jazz were fortunate to avoid a top three pick, they are clearly not rebuilding, they are ready to compete so a high lottery pick demanding playing time would just mess up team chemistry and set the team back. Why don't they do the actual lottery selection with the balls and all in front of everyone on live TV? What is the difference between doing it in front of a selective group of people, and the entire general public?

They don't draw for every team, just draw three times for top three. Everything else falls into place. If they wanted to do it live, then they may as well not televise it at all
