Hiere is a college teamamate's of Wesley that dropped 37 in a DLeague playoff game. He had a 10 day with New Orleans this year:
On February 10, 2009, in Marquette's 102-84 loss at Villanova, Jerrel McNeal became the all-time leading scorer in Marquette history, surpassing the 41 year old record previously held by former Marquette star George Thompson of 1,773 points.

He won the Big East's Defensive Player of the Year Award as a sophomore in the 2006-07 season.

He was also the only guard on the Big East's All-First Team in 2008-09.

McNeal was an Associated Press second team All-American in 2008-09.

Interesting player, but a volume scorer. Can he score efficiently on few possessions? Because he won't be asked or wanted to play a lot of minutes and shoot a lot of shots. I like that he plays D and that he seems to be a decent passer.

Sounds intriguing. I'm going to guess, without looking it up, that the kid has no real (a 6'2" sg or a 6'5" sf) position for the Big Leagues.

And that question was rhetorical ("can he score on few possessions?"). He hasn't played that role since probably his freshman year at Marquette, so there isn't any real data to say that he would be.

Played SG at Marquette. 6' 3" in shoes with a >6' 7" wingspan, 31" no step vertical and 36" max vert. Had decent assist numbers for a primary ballhandler that shot 20 shots per game in college, and in the D-League he appears to attempt to become a real PG with >6 APG (and 2 to 1 assist to turnover ratio). But again, while he's a good shooter in form and scores a lot of points, he needs a lot of shots to do it.

He has like Andre Owens size. So if he's going to be a prospect instead of a suspect at the next level, he's got to learn the point. His line last night 37 points 9 boards and 8 dimes is impressive.
