It goes without saying that Larry Miller was one of the best owners in NBA history. Any fan that has followed him and what he did for the Jazz when he acquired them, not to mention the up hill battles he faced with getting the team and his relationship with the players, he is one of the greatest owners of an NBA basketball team. After his death (God rest his soul) his wife became the owner and their son Greg basically inherited the franchise. Since he has taken over, he has destroyed everything his father built. He is approached this as a business man first and a fan second. Only problem is he is a horrible business man, and never was a supporter of the Jazz. Larry was a fan first and a business man second, and he was a excellent business man. His love for the team, and passion for the game of basketball let the small market team Utah Jazz into the playoffs year after year. You can argue that we had Stockton and Malone and coach Sloan. But you cant tell me that without them a small market team like ourselves can never go deep into the playoffs. The spurs did it back in the day with Robinson and their still doing it today. So are the Nuggets and they don't even have marquee player. Greg Miller has put all of his trust into KOC and the fact is he doesn't know how to run a team. How does a horrible GM get promoted to President of Basketball operations? KOC oversees everything and that's why there wasn't a move before the trade deadline like there should have been. And that's why our organization has been contempt with not building a championship team. Stockton and Malone left!! And since 2002 all Ive heard is that we are re-building. The Thunder didn't take 11 years to rebuild. We have taken that time and we still aren't re-built!! We should be but we're not. We are still waiting for a good draft pic and someone to "add to the pieces". Fact is, it shouldn't take this long. Its more than our coach, its the ones that control our team and everything that happens. Its Greg, Its Kevin and its Lyndsey. They are why we have been "rebuilding" for over a decade. Go ahead and bring up D-Will and Boozer but even that didn't last long and took years to get to them and when we did, we were lucky.
