What's The Last Movie You’ve Seen?

Because iirc it wasn't really a Tarantino film. He's starting to become like Patterson in the literary world. Become a producer on a film, get him name on it so it does really well, gets good actors on board, but in which he had actually very little to do with it, didn't write it, etc. so it's a hollow shell of a Tarantino film.

I haven't watched it since it's released. I remember thinking it was OK, but it seems to be the least talked about film of his and hasn't really gained a dedicated fan base
I liked it because Im such a big Walton Goggins fan.

Huh. Well not everyone can hit all the time. Easily his worst film. I thought it was one of those like the grindhouse stuff that he attached his name to but didn't either write or direct.

Definitely a big fan of Goggins, pretty sure that's because both of us are fans of justified in which Goggins was stellar.
Yep that is the origin of my fandom. Then came sons of anarchy, righteous gemstones, vice principals, fallout, white lotus etc only bolstered my fandom.
He always brings it.

Watched Roofman. Really good movie. Based on a true story.

Currently watching Nuremburg and loving it so far. Amazing cast. Michael Shannon is one of my favorite actors of all time. Only about 1/4 through it so far but the writing, acting and story so far has been great.

I don't like the increasingly mean-spirited, pointless violence of Tarantino's late-stage films. It just seems like the guy has fallen in love with some of his own worst tendencies and there's nobody to keep him in check. I didn't need to see close-ups of Jennifer Jason Leigh's handcuffed character getting punched in the face for no reason every ten minutes until her face was just a swollen, bloody mess.

Watched a movie called Caught Stealing. Fantastic.
Really really good ending.
My wife is in love with the lead actor. He was the guy who played Elvis Presley in that elvis movie that came out a year or two ago

Yeah, I think Aronofsky did this. He’s generally very good.

If I wanted to watch a longish film series, say, 5 or more films, what would you say is the best in terms of quality of the series as a whole?

Saw Marty Supreme

Kind of like a love/hate movie for me. Marty might be the biggest POS character I've ever seen in a movie. Absolutely zero redeemable qualities throughout the movie. Really hated the ending scene where they try to humanize him.

But entertaining nonetheless, but I cant believe anyone would actually enable someone as ****** and powerless as Marty as the characters in this movie did.

I didn’t see the movie but his unwavering passion and goals weren’t redeemable?

Passion? He just cared about getting famous and appearing successful. One of the most pathetic characters I've ever seen.

But I like that the movie doesn't really reward him, but it would have been way better without the last 5 minutes

I'd still probably put Marty in my top 10 tho. Very entertaining. I was just rooting for him to lose/suffer as much as possible. I find it weird when people said they wanted him to succeed.

His character is a bigger POS than say the one guard in The Green Mile?

Heretic.

Great movie and doesn’t receive enough recognition by the masses IMO probably because the topic is too complex for the lay people to get their heads around.

The movie also makes you think really hard about Christianity and Mormonism.
