Whats Utah doing?

Here's a trade Idea. The way Utah has been up and down lately I think there needs to be a trade that goes down. So why not get into the Melo conversation?

https://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=4j5mne9

Utah comes out with some respectable pieces for the future. While getting Carmelo Anthony. Depth chart

Dwill Bell Melo Jefferson Okur
Watson Miles Garcia Greene NeNe
Evan Elson Fez

So what do you guys think?

I love trade ideas where one team goes up in wins significantly and the other team(s) drop significantly. I bet those GM's are just lining up to do this one.

For many obvious reasons Denver doesn't do it, but I'm wondering why you randomly added the Kings to the mix?

I agree. What about this? https://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=49lrxv4

Utah gets: Blake Griffin & Carmelo
Clippers get: AK
Denver gets: Hayward, CJ, & Baron Davis

Why does LA do this? It gets them out of Davis' contract. We all know the owner hates Baron Davis, probably enough to give up Griffin to get rid of Davis. Plus, AK could flourish in LA's system and it's an expiring. From what I read on this board, expiring contracts are really valuable!!1!

And Denver? They get two good young scorers in CJ and Hayward and Baron could play the 2 with Billups or Lawson. Plus, they don't have to deal with Carmelo's distractions. We could probably throw in the Knicks pick too!

Carmelo already has a fan base here so maybe we could get him to sign an extension. If not, at least we get Griffin!

The only downside to my trade is a log jam at the PF for Utah.

What do you think?

Kings supposedly want to dump Garcia's 5.5mil X 3 years contract, and obviously are willing to take on more than that in AK's expiring to get it done.

the Kings our like 15 million under the cap and thats means they can take upto like 25 million and not be over the L. Tax. And with this trade they give up some nice pieces in Thompson, Casspi, and Garcia. But they take back 2 former All stars in Billips and Ak. Utah would probably have to throw in 3 million to make it work for them. But its worth it.

And why wouldnt Denver Take this trade?
Millsap Vs Favors
Price vs Harris
Casspi vs Morrows
J. Thompson vs draft pick
Dalembert vs draft pick
Hayward vs Draft pick

Plus they cut there Salary this year by 14 Million. And every piece is build for the future except Dalember whos strictly for cap relief.

So sum it up I like this trade better then the one New Jersey is offering becasue you get an Allstar type player in Millsap thats had a lot of his contract paid (thanks Portland) and youth at pg sg sf pf and c. So why would they hate this deal?

And Utah gets a great deal yes, but someone has to always come out on top dont they? Utah does take on some Salary this year and they would have to next year with Melos extension. But if Utah deliver Melo Nene and Garcia all locked up for the next 3 years I dont think hes leaving? And Melo wants his own big 3 and Wouldnt Dwill the greatest pg in the game with a 20 and 10 type player in Jefferson classify that? With a deep bench of Watson, Miles, Garcia, Memo, Fez

Its a homerun for everybody. Just think about how open Jefferson would be with Memo, Bell, Williams, Melo out at the 3.

So we're trading away Millsap, Hayward, and Price for a one-year rental? Awesome. Its not like Melo has said he has a list of teams he'd sign with or anything.
