The Jazz voted Juwan Morgan off the island today in a cap related move. If they are using that rationale to dump Favors, I can't believe Matty Ice's shelf life has long to go. Also if Oni isn't totally guaranteed he ought to be nervous.

Thomas is our sixth option at backcourt behind DM, JC, Butler, Hughes, Royce and Jingles. And likely will be seventh once we bring back Conley.

The guy won't even get any garbage minutes since we would prioritize development of Butler and Hughes.

I don't care if we are paying him 1mil or 1k. It's a waste of money on a guy who's not gonna see any minutes. Cut him and bring in a wing or forward who would actually get a chance to play.

And we should not guarantee Oni either. The guy had a clear path to big minutes due to being our number two 3D prospect on the team and was a total disappointment. Shot well below 36% from the floor and got abused both offensively and defensively.

Prospects usually get 1 to 2 seasons to show what they can do and I'm afraid the time is up for Oni. Time to see what others can do.

probably not… but if you give him the qualifying offer then he can accept it immediately and you are in the hook for his salary. He won’t get more than the minimum and we might go through FA and summer league and find out that we are each other’s best option. It’s not surprising to me.

Matty Ice just needs a good shrink IMO. Too many guards on this squad so wish him well. Regarding Niang, better resign him unless we can sign Batum or Portis with our MLE.
