Where are the "easy baskets"?

I honestly have no clue...
The easy answer is that Harris sucks as PG....
The real answer could be that players aren't setting good picks/making good cuts. No one is respected beyond 10 feet. Al Jefferson sucks and just bogs down the offense. The Jazz's coaching staff is inexperienced. Even though you were a good player, doesn't necessarily mean you can be a great teacher/coach. Chemistry issues (already). Our lack of defense frustrates our offense. When our offense struggles, generally our defense becomes frustrated and even worse... We don't have any good pick and roll players, Jefferson sucks at it, Millsap is ok, Favors/Kanter/Evans too raw.

One of the problems is trying to mix very young players with a couple of veterans on each unit. I'd like to see the Jazz go with Favors, Jefferson, Millsap, Hayward and Harris. That lineup had some success late in the season last year. Let the 2nd unit be anchored by CJ and Earl. Howard is a veteran; he'll be able to take shots as needed. Kanter just battles underneath, so that's ok. And you'd either have Favors or Millsap at PF. There's no need to play without any starters at any given point.

Something that just came to mind....
Perhaps we just don't have a very good offensive team.
Seriously, look at it...
No one is a legit outside shooter on our team. No one is known for being able to create. No one is very well known for bieng able to post up.
To compare, look at the previous Jazz teams...
We used to have arguably, the best PG in the league in Deron. Devin, cannot hold his jock.
We used to have some decent SGs in Brewer, Matthews, Korver... Brewer and Korver, despite their weaknesses, were pretty darn effective at what they could do. Korver could shoot and Brewer was always a threat in the fast break, cutting, and dunking. The SGs over the past two years just aren't as good. CJ has sucked, Hayward been inconsistent, and Raja has been a disaster.
SFs, we had AK and Harp with CJ being the third wheel (which is where he deserves to be). Harp and AK, despite their weaknesses, could still pile in 8-10 points per game each.
Boozer was far better (offensively) than Jefferson. In the Jazz's system, Boozer was probably one of the top players at his position. His pick and roll offense was incredible. Furthermore, Boozer, while yelling "Mine" would usually eat rebounds and quickly pass the rock to Deron who would push the ball for easy transition points. Jefferson... Rarely boxes out... Rarely gets rebounds... and when he does, has no clue what to do with it.
Memo, provided the Jazz with an outside shot. In the long term, his trade will probably benefit our franchise. HOwever, in the short term, it traded away our (only) outside shooter.
Millsap, was a key player coming off our bench. We still haven't found his replacement as we're still trying to find Boozer's replacement....
Overall, the "broken parts" we had a few years ago were still far better (offensively) than the current parts we have.
This team hasn't sucked offensively for just these two games.... Nor did they suck once Sloan left and Deron was traded....
They've sucked ever since we lost Boozer, Wes, Memo, and Korver. We still need to find replacements for those guys....

Take Bell out of the rotation entirely and we can run P&R against whatever our best matchups are all night long. Then let Harris play to his strengths. If Sap's in, run the high pick and pop with him. And if Al is being guarded by a stiff like Mogozev, keep feeding him in the low post. We're just not using our talent well.
What has to stop is all this movement just to move to set up screens and curls for guys who are naturally better as slashers. Meanwhile, there are no set plays for cutters. I said this in the game thread, but we look like a 60's team right now.
