Where will Trey Burke End Up

I feel like no matter where he goes, he's going to end up in the Dleague, or overseas, at least once before he calls it quits.

If the Jazz had been legitimately trying to trade him since the 2015 draft, I highly doubt they would have picked up his option. Better to just let him hit free agency and get out from under his guaranteed contract.

This.

Right now it doesn't make sense for any potential takers or DL to make a move. If you are a GM that's interested it apparent he has no future with the Jazz it's best to wait and see if his asking price comes down. If you're DL's worst case is you have to buy him out for the roster spot so if you are getting low balled just wait to see what teams(if any) strike out in free agency and/or suffer an off season injury. If that happens then he is far more likely to get better compensation. Just because a player has been on the trading block for a while doesn't mean they lack value.

Trey Burke made me realize that there needs to be a dribbles per possession stat. Not only is he an inefficient shooter he is an inefficient ball handler as well. He created a lot of the late shotclock situations that are used as an excuse for his shooting.

As I think about it, I think there is a reasonably likelihood that Burke ends up as the 15th man on the Jazz. He is currently the 5th best point and I do not think we can get anything for him He is not a horrible 3rd PG. If Burk stays healthy Burke would be 4th PG. I think it is more likely that we trade Mack or Neto or both because they played well as starters and could be a decent back up for someone in need. I would like to see one of them plus a second for a protected first starting at top 20 and sliding down to lottery protected. I would make that same deal twice (same basic deal trading both players). I would also consider a right to swap firsts as part of the deal. Another option would be Mack/Neto plus a first for a better wing than we can get as a FA. Then when his contract expires next year I let him walk. If there are injuries and we need someone mid season, we can cut him part way through the season.
