Who Gets Invited to Training Camp?

The Summer League is about in the books and I think the Jazz can take 20 to training camp. My 20 are Gobert, Pleis, Cooley, Motum, JuJuan Johnson, Favors, Booker, O'Brien, Hayward, Hood, Little Sap, Chris Johnson, Burks, Trey, Exum, Cotton, Neto, Cunningham, Wesley Saunders, and Alabama 2 guard that also played for OKC in Summer League.

I don't see how he can make the final roster and they would have to waive him. I think there will be a heart to heart where he signs with an overseas team so he can play and the Jazz can keep his rights. Some of these invitees are destined for Boise imho.

Well JJ O'Brien just got a 1 year, partially guaranteed deal from the Jazz. So he will be in camp at least.

Good insight, homie. That would the best scenario. He signs overseas and Utah can maintain his rights.

Jazz are using their extra money to give these guys some bonuses. Very smart move by DL. They cut them after camp and maybe sign them to the Stampede roster. Sure, they are free to go anywhere, but I think extra money on the way out might buy a little initial loyalty. And it's not a given Little Sap keeps his roster spot. With Paul not returning, Elijah has to really earn it every year. Not saying he doesn't, but I think he had an inside track while Utah was briefly flirting with trying to entice Paul to come back.

I really like the way the DL FO is handling these D League guys. They are throwing a little bit more money at them then they are used to. They are creating a lot of good will among up and coming guys.

Games are just one facet of TC. I'm sure there's a minimum number they like to have at each position for drills and scrimmages.

If they gave O'Brien a partial guarantee perhaps Saunders, Motum, Cunningham , the two Johnsons can receive the same and stay in shape in Boise.
