Half court scorers keep, I'd take Shaq & DeMar.

Everything else I give to Malone & Favors.
 
After listening to Locke this morning ( yeah I know), and hearing the sound bite from Ty, it sounds like Karl and Derrick are hitting it off well, and making good progress.

Locke didn't say much, other than he thought it was just going to be something to make Karl happy, and that he was totally wrong and wasn't at liberty to say much, other than he is impressed at what he has seen from Karl in his teachings to Derrick.
I got the impression that Karl is very serious about this, and isn't here to screw around.

So I'm voting for Karl and Derrick.
 
Even though Shaq had a great career, he never put in the hard work the Mailman did. If Shaq had, he would've gone down as the unquestioned greatest big man in NBA history IMO.

I see Shaq being a terrible mentor honestly. I don't see him having a lot of patience. I bet he and Cuz would butt heads.

Shaq: "Dude, I'm hungry. Chuck told me there is a great swarma place around here. Just dunk on people on offense and let's go eat."

Cousins: "Sweet, I'll bring the weed."

If Favors is Noticeably better this year, I'm going to be pissed that Karl wasn't asked to do this a long time ago. Then I'll kick kkk's ***.
 
Hard to change an attitude that has plagued Cousins ever since he arrived in the NBA. Sure, he can improve his skills, but until he decides to change his mentality, he's still who he is. Favors, on the other hand, has a completely different mindset. I saw some fire in him late in the season. He'll be out from under the shadow of Al and Paul. And HE was the one that approached the Jazz about a big man coach. Derrick is doing everything right. Less talented than Cousins, but I predict he'll make some huge leaps over the next few years.

Were they working hard at the lake while they were fishing? Cause that is what the local media was saying would happen. Looks like Karl has proved a lot of people wrong.

I know this is Jazzfanz and I'm a homer, but seriously, Karl had to be the hardest working player off the court the NBA has ever seen. Dude took winning extremely serious. He'd knock your face in if you tried to stop him from winning.

Everything I've heard from him says that he wants to teach young players. If Favors is actually buying in, well damn, I'm excited to see where Favors goes with his career. If Kanter and Malone hit off anywhere close to as well then I think the Jazz are contenders as long as they can keep those two on the team.

Full disclosure, I'm a born again homer with Sloan and Karl back. Makes me cry I'm so ****ing happy.

You know who he didn't butt heads with? John Wall. Cuz respected Wall and did everything he asked.
Cousins isn't a bad guy at all.. but he needs to let go the chip on his shoulder. He's been hated on since grade school and now he's always on the defense.

I have seen, first hand, when people show him respect, he'll run through a wall for you.

Guy needs to stop acting like a d-bag and start earning the respect and stop expecting it. kids got alot of potential!!! he is going to miss his chance to capitaliz on it if he dosent lose his victimized attitude!
