I would do that but I don't think Memphis would. I also think that Utah is leaning towards trading Millsap than Jefferson, since Millsap will be almost impossible to re-sign.
 
Doesn't it make more sense to pay a player outside of our core 4, a high salary now (like Gay), instead of signing Jefferson or Millsap to a 4 year deal? Won't their contracts be more of a threat to hinder us from signing all 4 of our young guys, because they are longer? Gay may be over paid, but at least its less years.

I'm starting to think we should pay either one. We have needs elsewhere. We have two bigs that are going to be studs in the waiting.

We could even just Millsap if Memphis wanted instead of Marvin.

I'm sure Memphis would want Millsap over Marvin. Why wouldn't they?
 
Mo wouldn't like it, but **** him. We'd have a logjam at SF throughout next year and a temporary one at pg for the rest of this season.
 
Memphis already dumped salary to get under cap, I don't think they are interested in trading Gay in anyway that makes their team worse.
