It's time to see what the youngster can do in serious minutes. Also let's play the two DLeague call ups, the trade from OKC stretch 4 and see what we have here. If these guys are like Malcom Thomas, Diante Garrett or Erick Murphy then fine. But maybe out of those three we might find a diamond for the future.

I'm pretty sure Hood is still on a minutes limit due to his frequent foot issues that have caused him to miss 29 of the team's 56 games.

I think you are right. They should treat Hood with caution the rest of the season. He's been experimenting with new shoes, orthotics, etc. to try to resolve the foot issues. I'm also ok with leaving him in the role he will assume next season when Burks returns.

They should give him stem cell therapy, human growth hormones, and steroids.

It's troubling when players develop foot issues straight out of college because he's being asked to play more and travel more than he ever has in his life. Plus when Ingles isn't hung over he's a great safety valve to run the offense when Exum has his "deer in the headlights" moments.

I'm inclined to believe it's just a bump in the road for Hood; but I still remember the Curtis Borchardt fiasco.

I think Hood will be fine. There's no point rushing him. DL sings his praises, and, right now, that's enough for me to know we got a good pick at that spot.

Nah, we need momentum going into the offseason to lure a potential FA. We need to keep making progress. Strike while the iron's hot.

Plantar fasciitis is a lot different from broken bones in the foot - particularly the navicular bone due to blood flow needed for healing. Time to heal and orthotics should do wonders for him. Don't rush him into more than he can physically handle due to some misguided desire to win more or help him develop faster. Both of those goals are endangered by getting him seriously injured. If he has any more issues, I hope they shut him down completely.

It's funny. All year long I've wanted a 6' 8" that can shoot and he's been here all along. It's like a Celine Dion song.
