Derrick Favors motor

He actually hit his FT's too, that is the most important thing for him right now. Leaves way too many points at the line.

There will definitely be an emphasis on PF skills in the off-season now that he knows he is a more defined 4.

Lindsey already commented on how pleased - and surprised - he was by Favors developing his PF skills. No doubt Derrick will just continue to work on it. What he really needs is a PG who can run the P&R. After Favors makes the screen, no one has to cover Exum; they know he's not going to drive to the basket. Favors is going to be MUCH better when we finally have guards that opponents have to respect. That will free up the inside.

Great point. I think that Exum's number one goal (besides strength and conditioning) this offseason should be developing his pick and roll game. It's obvious that opponents simply let him drive in and stop his passing options.
 
Jazz need to send Favors and Gobert to work with Hakeem Olajuwon this summer. Hayward too maybe. Can't think of another "big man" coach that I'd rather have them learn from. Right now, they're just soaking up the good coaching and the Jazz should do whatever they can to broaden their knowledge base.

Really impressed with Fav last night. I wish we could see more of this. The and 1s were very aggressive, and powerful.

Any that think he's soft is a hater. I've been harping on posters here dice we got favors. He's a lot like Duncan and no one questions his passion. But because Duncan came in as a finished product and favors a raw big he's called soft. Ridiculous
 
Favors with 16 and 12 tonight, along with 3 steals and 3 blocks. He and Burke really carried us in this game.
