First off, this thread is sticky material... let that be known.

This thread is officially the one to place your comments about how awesome Richard Jefferson has been for the Spurs this year--after what was a very disappointing campaign last year--and that the same phenomenon may occur with another Jefferson named Al. He plays for the Utah Jazz.

You know, next year is our year! I can see the writing on the wall.

Jefferson has been solid the past few games. Unfortunately, aside from him and Deron nobody else has been.

typical. There's always a next year with the Jazz. How about this year, we got to find a way to get that Rip guy from pistons and dump ak, bell, and miles.

I would love it if the Jazz could trade AK for Prince. Then go after a shooter in free agency next year.

Is this thread implying that AJ wasn't our second best player last night?

I don't know what the thread is implying, but I'm saying the Jazz obviously still need time to figure out what works best. AJ has strengths that don't fit well into the Jazz system. He was sold to us fans as "the best low post scorer in the league", but the Jazz don't like to run black hole offense to accommodate. The Jazz went away from early season AJ post iso's and kept hammering The System down his throat. It didn't take, and the longer and harder they pushed AJ the worse the Jazz have looked.

Last night was different offensively as D-Will and AJ started to mesh rather than worrying about involving the entire team. Chat was miserable until AJ's monster dunk, when sentiment flipped from "we're all gonna die" to "AJ is having a monster game. Give us more!". I hope to look at the game after a couple weeks or more as the turning point.

It takes time to fit the puzzle pieces together in a way that maximizes strengths and masks weaknesses.

r-jeff's numbers this season look nearly identical to last season. his 3pt shooting is up a bit and his rebounding, assisting, and 2pt shooting are down a bit.

on the other hand, parker's numbers look dramatically better this season. and ginobili has been playing far more. he has already played 2/3 as many minutes so far this season, as he did the entire 2009-2010 season.
