Skype? No. Seems like it would be far too distracting. Who's supposed to handle the cards for you? Who's supposed to be responsible for your chips? If a dispute took place how would I resolve it based on https://www.homepokertourney.com/roberts-rules-of-poker.htm ?
I run a solid game. The buy-in is cheap and there aren't any pros in it, but I run it in a way I would be perfectly comfortable running a tournament with a buy-in 10x-20x as big.

To anyone who's never attended before and might be on the fence, just do it. Everyone is much nicer in person. The poker game is a no troll, no bully, no judgement zone. I personally gain the most satisfaction getting new people to come out and meet their fellow posters. I like to think these poker games have been really good for this community. I know it's been good for me. I don't think I'd have the really good job I have right now if it wasn't for a fellow Jazzfanz-er who came to poker night.

When: Saturday April 11th at 3pm (cards in the air at 3:30pm)
What: No Limit Texas Hold'em Poker Tournament
Where: Gameface's house, West Jordan near Jordan Landing (approx. Bangerter and 70th S)
Game Details
Buy-in: $20
10,000 in starting chips. No rebuys or add-ons.
Optional $10 bounty*
Up to 20 players.
Game should last 3-4hrs
All money paid in is paid out in cash to the tournament winners as follows:
10 or fewer 1st 50%, 2nd 30%, 3rd 20%
11 or more 1st 45%, 2nd 30%, 3rd 15%, 4th 10%
rounded up or down to the nearest $5
*Optional Bounty details: If you would like you can purchase a bounty chip for $10. If a player with a bounty chip eliminates another player with a bounty chip they win that players bounty. Any bounty chips won from other players are safe and can be turned in for $10 each. If a player who has collected other player's bounty chips is eliminated by another player with a bounty chip they only lose their original bounty chip. If a player with a bounty chip is eliminated by a player who did not purchase a bounty chip the eliminated player keeps their chip and can turn it in for $10. Bounty chips have no value in the tournament and can not be used for any purpose outside the bounty side game.
I use Robert's Rules of Poker. Any disputes will be resolved in accordance with those rules. As host I reserve the right to make decisions that are in the best interest of the game even if such decisions are contrary to the written rules.
