Could Kanter and Gobert have worked?

I respect your opinion but it is not reasoned. Kanter post-up game is better than Favors, and his hook shot is better too. Kanter is definitely a better free-throw shooter and can shoot some threes. Kanter has a smoother jump shot. So what are you talking about?

Favors has been a better jump shooter this year......

Kanter has Russell Westbrook. That make scoring a lot easier. Also, they play at a much faster pace than Utah.

After all that **** talking of dRTG (which I continue to point out flaws the few times I post) andyou are using true shooting? If you are using TS then Meyers Leonard is a better offensive center than Marc Gasol and Tyson Chandler is one of the best offensive centers of all time.

TS% combined with points per game, moron.

I dont think Kanter has shot a single 3 with OKC yet.

Favors > Kanter in OKC in terms of 3pt shooting.

You can use stats to support a case and you can remove the weird outliers that fail the eye test.

Favors jumper looks better than Kanter's too. Kanter always seems off-balanced on his jumper. Favors is much more steady.

The thing is, players that don't shoot as much and only basically score on easy putbacks and point blank dunks would naturally have a higher TS%. But they aren't a primary option on offense, because those scoring opportunities for them are harder to create, and therefore their point total per game is lower.

TS% only measures efficiency, not volume. But as I pointed out in my previous post that Blue Elephant completely overlooked, Favors is scoring more points than Kanter as well.

Favors is a better scorer both in volume and in efficiency. Hence, the better offensive player.

Since all star break, Favors is scoring 0.6 more points than Kanter... While playing 3 more minutes per game. I cannot believe you used TS to justify Dfavs is better at offense than Kanter. You have been listening to too much David Locke. He said Al Jefferson is the worst offensive center in the league while Rudy Gobert is top 5 best offensive center in the league.

Fine, let's remove minutes per game from the equation.

Per 40 minutes, Favors and Kanter are both scoring exactly 20.8. Favors is doing so at a higher TS% than Kanter. So volume-wise, they're scoring the same amount per 40 minutes. Favors is just doing so more efficiently.

As I pointed out before, I used TS% combined with points scored.

I have not been listening to David Locke at all. David Locke has nothing to do with this conversation.
