Would you date someone who rooted for the Jazz's biggest rival?

What does rivalry mean to you?
I'm a college student working with my professors to answer that question and others related to understanding fans' perspective of NBA rivalries. Please take our survey (5-10 minutes) to tell us what rivalry means to Utah Jazz fans, and we'll come back to share the results once compiled.

Thanks in advance for helping with our research! You can see this WSJ article for more about our previous rivalry work in college football (https://on.wsj.com/1zFB6Gd), and we look forward to learning about NBA rivalries as well.

(To Mods: Sorry if this isn't acceptable use of the board. If you'd like it posted elsewhere, just please let us know and we'll remove it; however, our similar survey in college football was popular for discussion in the team forums, and we hope your members will also enjoy it)

Yes I would........ if she is hot enough

I dated a Chicago Bulls fan in the 90's - although she was strictly a bandwagon fan. I distinctly remember her calling me to gloat after Chicago won Game 1 of the 1997 finals.

I think I hate-****ed her once or twice and it was over.

I don't mind people that root for other teams unless they are jerks about it. So not dating someone like that would be more about them being a jerk than about them rooting for a rival team.

No, absolutely not. If we we're getting serious and then basketball season starts and she pulls out Laker purple and gold I would end it.

Just long enough to press a pillow over her face.

What's worse than having her be an ardent sports fan is when she absolutely isn't at all. Nothing worse than gushing about Rudy's most recent 20 reb, 6 block peformance for 10 minutes to and then having her follow it up with "that's nice dear. I am sure that trudy bear guy is great!"
