I'm glad to hear that.

Awesome wife that is currently 35 weeks preggo tmorrow with our final child (1st boy). Alpha personality and extremely mama bear about our girls (only 1 of which is hers biologically)

16 year old girl I am the guardian for that has had a very rough life. Made into (surgeries; pyhsical, mental and emotional manipulation and abuse) other peoples personal pleasure toy. Disgusting and she has a long road ahead of her.

12 year old girl that I have raised for 9 years (not biologically mine either) is going to be about 6'0-6'2 when it is all done. Plays basketball and is best at defense and rebounding. I have been with her longer than any one else in my family.

7 year old girl that is heavily into dance. But don't let that fool you, she's a brawler that the 12 year old doesn't even mess with nor any of the neighbor hood boys after she sent the last 2 home crying to their moms.

2 year old girl. She is my hippy who looks high half the time.

Nana 1 year old Lab/Rott mix

Gizmo 3 year old Dauschund(spelling?) ****zu mix that looks like a Schnauser

My wife is a stay at home mom because I am a man and I do the providing. She does bring in a little cash money by refurbishing old furniture and selling it at flea market things. She likes it, I hate it because I end up carrying that ish all over. AS you've read from my posts she is crazy. But she is crazy hot and funny and smart. She's legitimately crazy though.

Our 5 yo daughter is not biologically mine but I've been raising her since she was 10 months old so she all mine now and her "dad" can eat a dick. Sassy as shi, already has boys in pre school buying her gum balls, she will be the end of me as a teen because shes her mothers daughter. I do not look forward to that. She is our 1 yo sons best friend and biggest protector. Its adorable. Even though she is not my biological daughter she looks just like me. No one is the wiser. She is my real legitimate best friend.

1 yo boy, already wearing size 2 clothes. Hes a huge baby.Hopefully he'll be a big athlete as my wife and I have solid athletic backgrounds in our families. He's been walking since he was 9.5 months now so he's been a pain in the butt for awhile now. Just breaks things and poops. Cannot wait until he is old enough to do guy stuff with me.

Probably going to have 1 more kid. Likely to start trying in the fall.

1 persian cat who is HILARIOUS looking. **** cats though, disgusting *** creatures.

Share as much or little as you'd like to about your family. I'll start.

My wife is an ASL interpreter. I call her the Queen of Unsolicited Job Offers because it feels like she frequently gets asked about applying for some job or another.

I have three kids: two boys and the youngest is a girl. My oldest son is autistic (or at least has autistic tendencies - we don't have an official diagnosis) and is developmentally delayed. One of the few worries I have is questioning whether or not he'll ever be able to live on his own when he's older.

My middle child is deaf. He has what's called microtia and atresia. In short his ears never fully developed (microtia) and he has no opening to the ear canals (atresia). He's been going to preschool at the Jean Massieu School of the Deaf learning ASL while doing some speech therapy. He uses a bone anchored hearing aid (BAHA) that allows him to hear fairly well, although it is sometimes hard to understand him when he's talking.

My daughter is little but really sassy. One of her favorite things to do is to tell me or her mom or grandma to "Go!" and leave the room so she can do something she's not supposed to.

Great thread! Will definitely add to it as well as read all of the posts from the various posters.

Ok, so the 11 y.o. BIL I took to the Jazz thing with me is Autistic, Aspergers, ADHD, .... no official diagnoses as far as I know but has a lot of the symptoms of all three. So, there is a huge to do in their family about what to do with him. He goes to school but does terrible, but he is insanely good at building things, drawing, video games etc .... He took on all comers on the video games at the Jazz thing and didn't lose once in an hour. So the family is split between medicating him, which is nice because then he is calm but is sad because he seems dead inside. Or just letting him be which is sucky because he is THE MOST OBNOXIOUS HUMAN ON EARTH, but is good because he seems happy. His mom passed 2 years ago and his dad, supposedly works a ton (thats a whole nother story), so we take him everyday from 2 to 8 or so. I cannot do it everyday or I'll die. I literally cannot handle him everyday unless something changes. So my ? is .... how do you handle your autistic son? Any tips?

This reminds of an article I recently read which at the time was considered rather controversial. I didn't think it was over the top or anything and though it's premise WAS on point for the most part.

Anyway, if you're interested, it's not too long of a read:

I have no clue what my 4 y.o. is into because he does pretty much everything his older brother does. He's a pretty cool kid who goes with the flow and just has fun. That and punching everything. If he gets some size he'll be a bruiser for sure.

My baby is like Beer's kid, gets into everything he isn't supposed to instead of playing with toys. Lately he's been crawling around with a sock in his mouth all the time. It's pretty cute. He also does this weird smile thing where he blows out and smiles at the same time. Looks dorky cute as hell. He's a pain in the *** otherwise and has been sick since Thanksgiving.

My oldest is 7 and into all sorts of things. It started with astronomy and just keeps going. He's always asking questions about WWII, picked up chess, risk, that sort of thing on his own. When he was a baby we always had random people telling us he should be a baby model. I thought that's just how middle aged and old women act but we haven't had a single comment like that with our next two.

Nightmare, I have a deaf nephew and now a new deaf niece. The nephew got a cochlear implant at 2.5-3ish and you'd never tell he was deaf. If that's an option for anyone with deaf kids I'd highly recommend looking into it.

Are you on some sort of life timeline where since you were a kid you needed to accomplish certain milestones by a certain age?

Yeah I was on some sort of a timeline, ... get married and have a family by 30? But that date had come and gone, and still no sign of accomplishing it.... (so hard to find 'the one'). So now there is just no plan. None. Just a 'let it be' type situation.

No expectation = No disappointment
