What's new

What scares me for Thursday is

Yes! Actually as a child I was spoiled a lot on Christmas. But I am feeling a lot of anticipation about Thursday. I am really hoping we get another piece closer to a return to the finals.

There are many players who have attitude issues in the NBA that are succesful in the NBA. My feeling is that as long as those issues arent a matter of legality (drug issues, gang issues, etc.) then its not really that big of deal. Different people mature at different times and sometimes just need a good kick in the *** to straighten them out.

no one knows what will happen, so that's a good(entertaining) but scary thing at the same time

i haven't been this excited for a draft since 05

Were not going to be a Finals team until we get a more aggressive GM

1) Most "aggressive" moves made via trades fail
2) In the Jazz organization, like many NBA teams, the decision making is much broader than the GM
3) I don't think there is any team that is not aggressive at exploring every option they can think off. There are some that pull the trigger more but those teams also have much simpler offensive and defensive schemes.

To help support your points:
1- See Dallas/Cleveland.
2- Deron Williams and Jerry Sloan.

I too am preparing myself for a very disappointing and conservative pick for Thursday.

They were pegged to have attitude issues- Another great reason to trade up and get Cousins. He may be pegged to have attitude issues but will be a great player.

Having attitude and a predisposition to kick other people's a$$ is not altogether a bad quality for a pro ball player to have. No way would anyone draft Monroe or Aldrich over Cousins. Is Cousins' attitude any different or worse than Charles Barkley?

I agree. I've said time and time again, we tend to draft these players that have this great home life and this great story of where they came from and how they got to the NBA. That's heartwarming and I can appreciate it, but sometimes a little adversit turns you into a fighter. It puts a chip on your shoulder.
