Which of Our Final 15 Will Not Be On the Opening Night Roster

I think 11 guys come back:
a. Gobert, Hayward, Favors, Exum, Hood, Burks are locks.
b. Booker, Cotton, Burke and Ingles and Millsap are probable.
c. Johnson, Jerrett and Cooley are on the bubble.
d. As much as I like him as a person, I think Evans is definitely gone.

Patrick Christopher will also get a long look. Jazz liked him before he got hurt. This team is starting to get very deep. Utah will start cutting guys who are going to hook on with other teams and get PT.

I don't think JIngles will be back. My rationale is that he will get a better deal than the Jazz want to pay. My source is that there are 3 Aussie players and an assistant coach at a local college and from them I get the feeling the purestrings will open up.

Drop Johnson, Cooley and Burke if possible.

Gobert
Favors/Booker/Evans
Hayward/Ingles
Burks/Hood/Millsap
Exum/Cotton

Fill in around that. Focus on C and PG. Draft a C that can shoot the 3? Sign/trade for PG that can as well.

With Burks returning, he wouldn't get much PT anyway. If he gets a good offer somewhere, I'll cheer for him whenever he isn't playing against Utah. He gives all slow white guys hope!

And this is kind of what I'm getting at when I said our castaways are going to get PT elsewhere. Ingles could be a rotation player on a lot of teams. With Utah, he'd be injury insurance and compete with Millsap and perhaps a draft pick to get garbage minutes.

Regardless of how much he plays, letting Jingles go would be a mistake. He's a guy who fits what Quin doe, clearly likes it here AND was a major part of the developing culture. He's a glue guy and a locker room leader. If he is needed, he can come in and play well also. Bet the Clippers were wishing they still had him when their bench was decimated to finish out the season and they lost a playoff series they had in the bag because their starters were exhausted.

I don't disagree with anything Ellis said. I'm just hearing that Joe might command some major $$$ in the open market because of those qualities and the Jazz FO might not match. My source is local sports talk radio here and Boise State has an Australian assistant coach and 3 aussie players and that's coming from them. This might sort of be a Wes Matthews situation where some team throws an obscene amount of money Joe's way. I hope he's back.
