Just an interesting graph I stumbled upon:

The Jazz are some of the leading teams that are both relatively good and young. We can expect to move up and to the right in the next several years as our young players become better and better. We can also expect the teams from the upper right corner to fall off once their older good players either retire or their production suffers as they age even more.
 
Very interesting, we are even younger than I thought. One thing is for sure, we will move to the right next year. :D

Also, every team over 50 wins is at least 3 years older than us. Bodes well, really really well. Nice find.
 
Pelicans look good on that graph as well.

Hopefully the league sees a dramatic rise in the Jazz, Pelicans and Wolves thsi year with the Spurs and Mavs falling off.
 
I just want to see us rise to the top section of that chart and ride there for the next 10 years.
 
Considering just how young & shallow our roster was, last season was a major success & really shows you how good our core is (especially considering that we traded Kanter for non-contributing assets, lost Burks for the majority of the season, & got little to no production out of an entire position). It's understandable why some of the media/fans want to make win-now moves over the off-season, as our core (given enough depth & another starting caliber player) looks ready to take the next step, but as fans who are eager to see them back near the top of that chart like we were at one point, we have to remember that the goal shouldn't be to get there as fast as possible, but to stay there as long as possible (while having an actual chance at winning a title, which is why imo it's vital that we acquire at least 1 more potential impact player). Even without signing or trading for a player who is ready to immediately contribute, I expect us to get there sooner rather than later due to the work-ethic of our core players. The last few years have been tough but, so long as we stick to the long-term plan that we've been on, the recent losing will have been well worth it in the end. Can't wait to see where this team is with another addition or two & a couple more years of development under Snyder.
 
I really like this chart. Gives me a ton of hope for next season. Give all of our guys one more full off season with Snyder, Burks coming back and a full season of Rudy starting....Good things coming to Utah

Amen. I'm looking for big improvements to Snyder, Exum, Hood, Gobert and Burks. If Ingles, Burke, Millsap, hayward and Favors improve that is just icing on the cake.

And imagine how much of this chart includes Steve Novak, who only played 109 minutes, and Joe Ingles and Elijah Millsap, who were both 27 year old rookies.

It's win-share weighted age so I'd assume the contributions of Steve Novak were not great.

True, but minutes going to Ingles instead of Burks makes the team appear a tad older than we really are.

Next season can't come soon enough. Big things are on the horizon. Feel bad for the league tbh.
