Here is the thing. If you have confidence in your scouting, mid to late first round picks are meaningful. The Spurs have feasted on them. That 27th pick had no value to the Nuggets a couple years back, but to the Jazz, who look to be more competent in that area, it meant the franchise. A late round pick in the hands of Michael Jordan is near worthless. Celtics and Sixers haven't really shown they know what to do with their extra picks either.
To sum things up, trading multiple first round picks would cost the Jazz more than most other teams, because of the Jazz's superior scouting and better ability to develop players.
