Zach Lowe tells Utah (and a couple other teams) what to do in free agency

Sign Pleiss, bring Neto if you are gonna cut ties with Cotton or BJB, and call it a season in terms of Free Agency.

Feel free to entertain trades tho

We have Millsap who does the same thing, and might even do it better, for 800K.

Millsap has ZERO scoring ability. Plus I am just guessing, who knows if the Rockets would even match 2-3 mil a year.

Thunder have agreed on 1-year deal with Arkansas' Michael Qualls, source tells RealGM. OKC monitoring Qualls' rehab for tears in both knees.

WOW! That's a great gesture from OKC... A bit weird to use a roster spot on him and a bit weird to pay him money when they will be in the luxury tax most probably. They must really like him...

And KJ McDaniels has scoring ability?

He couldn't even must 30% shooting from deep on a team that highly encourages taking every open 3pt shot attempt.

Yeah he shot a better % than Sap, but he was also on a better offensive team and a higher paced offense. Millsap was largely playing a bench role on a bad offensive bench unit without much spacing or fast break opportunities. They are essentially the same player. I will give the edge to McDaniels because of age, but I'm not paying 5 million dollars for a slightly better version(arguable because I think Sap plays much tougher defense) of a guy we pay 800K.

Middleton shot 31% from three his first year in the league. And uhh you do know the coaching staff we have right? Carroll and Millsap developed a three out of nowhere and so did Booker. They would actually have somewhere to start with McDaniels.

Elijah Millsap has been shooting in the mid 30's in 3pt shooting every year in the D-League. Actually shot 39% one year on 3.3 attempts per game over a 48 game stretch.

Maybe there is just a better chance of developing a three point shot from someone who has never really tried it before than someone who has tried and failed.

Laugh all you want funny how Millsap goes from shooting no threes in Utah to making 1 a game in Atlanta and Booker never shot a three in Washington and all of a sudden he hits them in Utah. Just a funny coincidence lmao.

That's a factor of the coaching staff encouraging the player taking the shots.

Sloan didn't want his bigs ****ing with the 3pt line. Doesn't mean Snyder and Atlanta magically developed Millsap's shot, it just means they let him take them.
