Actually think the starting lineups are reasonably close for Ellis having Jordan, but I really prefer the fit of Ellis's bench. Current vote: Ellis.

The forgotten matchup because neither one had a write-up and neither one is here defending their team.

Our game plan would be to pass the ball for 20 seconds EVERY time on offense and than feed Kareem and let him shoot sky hooks all game haha, and on defense we would force MJ to the middle on drives and we wound enforce the Jordan rules (aka we would break him)......he's got a string team, I thought my team would do decent in this but the one team I wanted to avoid was Ellis

Your team has the edge in the post for sure with McHale and Kareem. Pierce is not a push-over and Dumars could give Jordan some grief. If you have had the time to explain all this in a write-up I think the voting would be closer.

In its own way this is a very close matchup. Ellis takes it in his back-court, both starting and rotation, to me they fall roughly even at the SF spot, but then fivas comes on strong in the front-court, but Ellis is there to balance it out with an (on this board at least) under-rated Nate Thurmond.

In the end I think I have to go with Ellis. Just too much depth to overcome.

And McLady and Randolph are both head cases. I cannot see that bench working together well at all.

Kinda feel a bit sorry for tfivas, he really looked forward to doing this draft thing, and joined as a replacement for an absent team owner.

I think he should have at least done the write-up though explaining his philosophy, etc.

But yeah, sometimes life happens.

Prime Kareem was awesome(better than Hakeem and Shaq) but Payton, Jordan, Pippen >>>> Kidd, Dumars, Pierce.

Doesn't matter. Maybe he'll do better in current players draft, or next year's draft. His team is not terrible, but he got an unlucky draw.
