Who would win in a 7 game series?

The number of voters is disappointing.

Maybe if these threads are stickied at the top, there will be more voting... As it is hard to find which threads I've looked at and voted on. WC/Mods... Is that possible?

Read the reason and the strategy. I didn't just want to put the best individual talent in starting, but the best team on the floor as a unit. Majerle give me defense plus spacing. Mullin then becomes by far the best player off the bench like Ginobli for the Spurs or Harden in OKC. It's how Pop would have done it.

Don't get me wrong, your team is very solid, but Dan Majerle IMO was one of the most overrated players of all time. Once a tough, scrappy player coming out of college, he later pigeon holed himself into being a volume 3point shooter (even though he wasn't really that good at it). Not once in his 14 year career did he ever shoot 40%+ from 3. His best season of 38% from 3 wouldn't even rank in the top 40 in the 2015 season. He made a couple of all nba-defensive team (2nd team) selections early in his career, but his defense overall in his career was nothing spectacular.

I agree. Wish I could have split my vote.

And jeffrey, nice pick of Petrovic. I had completely forgotten the name. Amazing shooter. Wish we had someone with his shooting percentages!

I completely wanted to pick Drazen but he was gone before he got to me. One of the many forgotten gems. Sad his life and career were cut short.

Agree regarding Majerle. I watched him play. A lot. He was just not an impact player beyond timely 3's really. Solid for sure, but nothing fantastic. 3rd tier SG/SF really. Never did I see a game with him where I said "wow his lock down defense turned the tide in that game".

A tie seems fitting.

So with a tie both are just eliminated right?

Too bad we don't have some convoluted and overly-complicated tie-breaking procedure in place.

To me, Petrovic was the original "Steph Curry" if that makes sense. Unbelivable quick release and could make shots from anywhere.

I really enjoyed watching him play. He was an energy and hustle guy. Lots of heart, passion, and athleticism. Then he prolonged his career and made himself an All Star by adding shooting to his game, allowing Barkley and KJ to work the middle. Volume or not, he hit a ton of threes in an era where the style of play wasn't as three-heavy as today.

Yet you voted for him? When he was matched up against Larry Bird?

Yes my vote was entirely for Majerle, and him alone, against Bird. Of course. You got me there!

Eh, who am I kidding....

[sarcasm just beginning]
