What's new

Say what you will about Burke, but his attitude is great

So she basically asked you out and you still couldn't close the deal? I think maybe you need to try and uncover your inner bad boy. Try a few shots of tequila and then go on a dating website until you get a date. Yes, I know alcohol is evil, but it can also be a useful tool in getting people together. Something to consider.

Well I was 16 then and didn't know any better... haha... youth is wasted on the young that is SOOOO true.

It's called pride. I said early on that none of the negativity out there this post season could possibly have been lost on Burke. We all have pride. If he said anything less then this, I would not respect him as much, I'm sure. Of course he's ready for training camp. If he's been doubted throughout his life as much as he claims, then that's the very place Cotton has always been as well. If he has any pride at all, he wants to prove all the naysayers wrong.

Basketball is a pretty unforgiving sport in this respect. You can play as hard as you possibly can, but if the shots don't drop, you're effed. Especially if you're just 6'.

They haven't dropped for two years.

Color me unimpressed by his words. What, after his awful rookie year, he wasn't more experienced and hungry as **** to improve and be a better player this past season? They're words. Nothing more. Prove it on the court, Madame Burke. Let's see an improvement to 40%/33% this season.

I think that's the problem with trey tho. He thinks the way to prove himself is to shoot better, which means he has to keep chucking and believing the shots are gonna fall any minute. To me, shooting better isn't the answer, so much as being smarter about knowing when you're feeling it, and recognizing when you're having an off night and then adjusting accordingly by shooting less and doing other things to make a positive impact on the game. Trey needs to become a smarter player, and I'm just not sure he'll ever have a feel for his game like that.
