And I agree. What I'm saying is that if you switch Melo and Dray on GS's team, GS doesn't win. Melo isn't a winning player anymore, he doesn't care. I'd rather have the guy that plays smart TEAM basketball, actually plays defense, and makes a big impact on the game.

According to WC, since the competition is going to be so fierce, shoudln't we assume Thompson will always shoot 30% because defense is going to be so hard Wiggins/Parker/Griffin cant even score?

I think GS would win with Melo if only he played team basketball within their offense. The question is, would he? I don't know. He's certainly capable though.

Yeah, but Kobe at least defended at an elite level even when his teams where sucking back in the mid 00's post-Shaq and pre-Gasol. Kobe, even though a ball-hog, does go through his "distributor role" stretches. Melo doesnt even have that switch to go into those modes.

Well of course he is capable. He just has to shoot less and move the ball, but that is erasing the habits what he has done for over 10 years in the NBA.

A Warriors team with Greeen vs. a Warriors team with Melo, I'd take the Green team 9 out of 10 times.
