Tfivas' Case:

FIVAS' TEAM WRITE UP
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The first thing you notice is that I have a lot of really good players but not a lot of great players with the exception of Damian Lillard, which is
exactly what I wanted to do with my team because I didn't want to have a bunch of studs who have to have the ball in their hands to be effective
and I don't think my team will really get the respect it deserves as far as the chemistry of this team goes because it would be a beauty to watch,
unselfish players at every position that play all around basketball, who at the same time can score with the best of them.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Let's look at the rotation.....
PG - Damian Lillard (40)
SG - Andre Iguodala (30)
SF - Trevor Ariza (35)
PF - Greg Monroe (35)
C - Marcin Gortat (27)
6th - Eric Bledsoe (24)
7th - Nicolas Batum (13)
8th - Josh Smith (13)
9th - Nikola Vucevic (21)
10th - Avery Bradley (2)
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- I decided to start Gortat becuase Log has a great front court with Blake Griffin and Dwight Howard so I needed something to combat their interior
dominance and Vucevic is not that guy and also think bringing him off the bench and allowing him to match up against Al Jefferson who we all know
isn't a dominant force defensively by any stretch of the immmagination really brings out the best in him.
.
.
- Midway through the draft I traded Zach Randolph for essentially Greg Monroe and Andre Iguodala which I think I completely won, it also allowed me to bring Eric Bledsoe off the bench in more of a scoring role which would greatly benefit him especially with Lillard running the first team who is a similar player to Bledsoe so I think seperating them instead of trying to figure out a way to get them each their shots benefits us tremendously.

PHILOSOPHY
I built my team with the intention to be well balanced with versatile players that defend and that can jell well together who also can affect the game
with out scoring the ball.

STRONG POINTS OF MY TEAM
1. DEEEEEEP - My team is DEEP, first of all after trades were made I was able to stack my team from 1 to 10 having starters (except maybe Avery Bradley but I think he would start for Log's team lol) at every poistion on the bench which is a huge advantage for me because this is a 7 game series and all of my players would be able to be fresh with out having to sacrifice points or defense which is huge. If this was a 1 game series I think log would probably have the advantage with Griffing and Howard.

2. Versatile - Along with being deep I drafted a bunch of versatile players that can play multiple positions. Iggy can play everything from the PG to SF.
Ariza can play the 2 and the 3 and possibly the 4 in super small ball line ups. Add in Batum and Josh Smith's ability to play the 3 and the 4 my team can easily adjust to any line up thrown at us.

3. Scoring off the bench - One of the thing Log's team completely lacks is absolutley zero scoring off the bench which is critical in a 7 game series
which can not be said about my team having Bledsoe (17 PPG last season) and Nikola Vucevic (19.3 PPG last season)

If you're going off star power vote Log, if you're going off a 7 game series its not even close. His wings are weak

This one is too close to call for me.

I'm not voting

I think Log has more dominating players. The best player for tfivas is Lillard. It's weird that's the biggest star he got. Must have made a trade or something. It certainly didn't pan out well for him.

He's got more dominant players at a position that is vulnerable as hell to small ball....

When I throw this line up out there how does he adjust with out losing talent? Griffin @ center?

Lillard
Iggy
Ariza
Josh Smith
Monroe

He's also got the best player too. I think Griffin is the best player in all this, and in real basketball that plays a factor I think

Not sure why Tfivas didn't go with his original plan of a two guard system with Lillard and Bledsoe, kind of a wasted pick on Bledsoe since you drafted him at 43 and he's not even starting.

That's not really a scary lineup.

Log's team looks Horrible lol. Massively declining Parker, jr smith (lol) and an unproven wiggins are the starting guards/wings.

I'm not a huge fan of tfivas' team. Monroe will get destroyed by Blake (Monroe really needs to play C) and there's not enough scoring. Also no big rim protection threat (just... Ok rim protection I guess). There's good perimeter d, but lillard is a weak link. Teams with any semblance of guard play will just try to run screens until they get the matchup they want vs lillard and stay away from Iggy and ariza. Then there's nobodt to cover up for lillard' mistakes at the rim. Just... Weird.

If i were Log, I would start Wiggins and MKG for better perimeter defense. I almost didn't vote for Log because of JR Smith in starting unit but his big 3 is too big too ignore.

Looks like I'm going to lose this one, nice job Log.
I don't think most read my write up cuz honestly I usually don't either lol, but I just looked at the Warriors when building my team and they were really only lead by one super star (Curry is on a whole nother level than Thompson and Dray imo) and DLill is a lot like Steph Curry (crazy streaker scorers, defensive liabilities, etc ). The Warriors were also crazy deep and were always fresh. I'm a big believer in that your bench is as important as having a super star, the ability to bring guys in that could start for most teams is a bigger advantage than having 2 one dementional bigs and zero perimeter shooting.

LOL. No. Steph Curry is FAR from a defensive liability. He's a very good defender, actually. And he's NOT a streaky shooter. He's a consistently good and reliable shooter. Lillard, your only star player, doesn't give two ****s on D. And he's not all that good a shooter. Log's team is one of the worst in the tournament, but you still need more firepower to beat it.
