Play Along - if we HAD to trade

If you shovel my driveway every time it snows next winter I'll give you a ride to the airport one day when you need it (as long as I don't have to pick you up in St. George). Is that the kind of favors you're looking to trade?

Not enough. He is viewed as a "nice" player who has slightly improved every year.

I'd demand an all star wing in return. Nobody is giving that.

Favors: What could we realistically get in return?

Dr., Dr., Give me... ... a break... you've got a real thing about dumping Derrick?

In my MsMO (mainstream media opinion...) Derrick is the best VALUE player we have on the team...
other than Rudy, but only because Rudy is still on his rookie contract...

Anything NEAR Favors' replacement would cost us max money in next year's world...
AND Derrick like it here in Utah... for that reason alone, we love him, and keep him and...

We wouldn't get as much for him now as we could at the end of the season (I see him taking another step up).

Duh. No ****. That's why I said if you HAD to... Cuz no one would otherwise.

His value is beginning to skyrocket. Now would be the worst time to trade him even if we decided to do so.

Let him lead a Jazz defense with Rudy to one of the best in the league, have him average 18PPG, and flirt with all-star whispers. It would be really really dumb to touch our frontcourt right now-- if Lyles develops, a Rudy/Fav/Lyles rotation is a big rotation I would put ahead of anything else in the league. Easy. Maybe except what the Spurs have right now with West Diaw Duncan and LMA. But other than that? Id take it over what Memphis has.

We should be piling assets towards a Mike Conley sign-and-trade-- now there's a trade that makes sense. 2017 GS & 2018 OKC pick plus a scorer for him + filler. But I'd only worry about that if the end of this season nets minimal hope from Dante and Burke and Neto. Scrap Burke, let Exum play backup. Neto as 3rd string.

Conley definitely on my short list. Scores the ball, gets the assists, and doesn't turn it over.

Unprotected lotto picks in 2017.

Look no further than Boston...

Nets '16 1st unprotected
Nets '17 pick swap
Mavs '16 1st top7 protected
Memphis '17 (10 prot), '18 - 12 prot , '19 - 8 prot, unprotected in '20, '21
C's '17

3 of these should be the Jazz goal. Don't think Ainge is stupid enough even though Favors bargain contract with 3 yrs left is very desirable for his goal to land free agents again.
All these teams are volatile and the 1st rounder have huge variance in value they can return.

ATL: Schröder + '17 pick swap, '18 top5 protected. Budenholzer doing a win now mode as president of bball operations? Probably not. He's from the Spurs...

DET: '16 pick swap, '17 unprotected

IND: Myles Turner + '17 unprotected

MIN: Rubio + '17 15-30 protected

NYK: Favors + Burke + '16 lottery protected for Melo

Whaaaa?

Bro. Why would we trade assets for an unrestricted free agent next year?

Favors by all experts is he is a top 10 PF slotted around 7. No value? Trade him? Wah? I think I was stupid before. Ha ha.

Small ball tend is a stupid thought too. Lets see Draymond try and guard a real Titan! He can guard Mozgov but not supreme titans! Go big and speed every position and it destroys small ball. Hayward can't be PF??!!!!!
