Editing a post?

I no longer seem to be able to edit a post. There is no submit button. The edit window now looks like my regular window for posting but with a reason for editing square. Nothing happens when I attempt to edit the post, it never changes because it never lets me submit the changes.

Okay It only seems to happen if I have a quote in the post.
 
Never mind seems to be working now. Must have just been a glitch in the post I was attempting to edit. It has happened a few times but now seems to work.
 
If it continues to be a problem let us know and we can take a look at it.

I think what might have happened is I tried to edit a post as somebody liked the same post. When I left the thread and went back it let me edit it. It's the second time it's happened to me. Both times when I went back to the post it had a like that it didn't when I attempted to edit it. Not sure though just something I noticed when I went back.

No problems since.
 
I'm again having problems editing a post. It won't go to the edit screen and just shows my "partial" post and I can type all I want and change it but the edit has no submit button.

Are you on a smaller screen device like a phone or something? I couldn't get what you described to happen so let us know more... please.

No I'm on a computer. And at this point I can only edit about half the time. If it won't let me edit a post it rarely will ever let me do it. When I push edit it acts like it's going to an edit screen but at the bottom where submit should be it looks like a regular post that says reply/reply with quote or the " make button at the bottom. None of them work and any changes are not possible to make.
 
Could you capture a screenshot? Or take a pic and text to me . Let me know if you want my number. Sorry for the issues

It does have the reason for editing bar, but again won't allow it.

and the buttons at the bottom actually say {edit post}/{reply}/{reply with quote}/{"}
.
I've tried to edit every post in this thread by me unsuccessfully. It won't let me edit any of them right now.

Are you on a Packard Bell by any chance?

You click on EDIT POST and what happens? Nothing at all?

The site change seems to have eliminated this problem. But it would change add an edit for what reason button but basically nothing else changed. Tried a few times since the change and it no longer seems to be an issue.

In other words, you has never thought to click "edit post."

Thanks, Jason, for another radical bout of troubleshooting.

Edit: I don't always edit posts, but when I do, I click the edit button.

Then explain the reason for editing box showing up, smart ***.
