That puts us 5th in the West. I'd be stoked if we ended with the 5th seed with Exum knocking on the door again for the following year.

I guess you have to conclude that this is fair, given that we're ahead of the other young teams -- Milwaukee, Minnesota, Orlando, Washington, Nola, etc.

The Pistons at 27 is silly imo. Drummond, Caldwell-Pope, Jennings, RJax, whoever the hell try drafted this year. A coach who can coach imo.

Here are the stacked rankings per category and overall. I also felt like Utah was penalized for the market. I just don't see how that is a huge factor, except for the attractiveness to potential free agent signings. So I have also included a stacked ranking that excludes the Market.

Utah is ranked 8th with the market included. But excluding the market grade, based only on the players, organization, future draft positions, and salary cap, Utah is ranked 4th.

So they like Utah huh? For them to be rated 15th in the draft with all those picks stockpiled,. They've gotta be banking on the actual Jazz picks being pretty high in the 1st round..

It looks like the draft grade is based on a few factors:

1- How many future picks the organization has retained.
2- How high in the draft those selections are in the rounds.

Agree. I'd question Miami. Wade is on his last legs and Deng is no spring chicken. I know they picked up Dragic, which should be a big improvement. But still, as you said, their stars are aging. As for Chicago, I guess a lot depends on the health of Rose. Pau certainly showed in Eurobasket that he still has plenty of Gas(ol) left in his tank (see what I did there?).

Not that I agree with all the rankings but it is not based off of just the players on the team. Other factors are affecting the standings like FO, money and market.
