It doesn't really mean anything. What you are saying.

Just because someone has the GM job, doesn't mean they are any good at what they do. I bet I could find a dozen posts or more where you call a GM a dumbass or disagree with them.

I don't look at all the GM'S in the NBA as being super smart guys who are good at their jobs. I think most of them just wouldn't sign Bennett out of fear of looking dumb and possibly being fired later if it turned out to be a bad choice.

Bennett is going to get another shot in the league. If I were a GM, I wouldn't want his salary, but I'd kick the tires after he cleared waivers.

the fact that you can conceive of these questions, but have apparently failed miserably to ask them of yourself, makes me feel deeply pessimistic about the world. I hope there are very few like you.
