Hey b_line, I know you're a rafting instructor, this is from a rafting trip I did about 8 years ago with guys from my old firm, thought I might share it with you, was my first and last rafting experience.. LOL ...


It was the finale of the journey with pretty much a vertical drop!!!


It was in Rotorua, North Island, NZ.

It was OK actually nothing too tricky, difficulty out of 10 I would say the run leading up to that rates about 6/10, that drop is definitely a 9/10 as there is a chance the raft might flip...

Yup.. was pretty scary!! Luckily the raft didn't flip!!

Sweet. I have some friends who have run that stretch. It's pretty famous as far as rafting goes. Before I got married, I was planning on guiding there, but then I settled down and never made it there.

Take advantage of the outdoor opportunities New Zealand has to offer. It seems like you a have so many world class spots crammed into such a small area, it seems like heaven to me. One day I will make it down there.

I've skydived from 13,000 feet. A 12-15 foot drop off a "waterfall" is child's play.
