About a year ago my wife went to bout time with some friends for a girls night out. They had a hell of a time getting served by the female bartenders. Practically had to beg to get a pitcher and then once it was gone they were just completely ignored and ended up leaving and going somewhere else.

When I was there I saw a couple girls come in and sit at a table. Then a bit later one came up and stood at the bar next to me and the bartender passed her by several times. She gave up, went back to her table and a few minutes later they left.

I wasn't going to worry about getting a chilled glass (a bit of a pet peeve of mine, but I get that I'm the weird one on that) but my last drink was Hop Rising, which is in a bottle. The bartender gave me the bottle and no glass. Sorry, but for a 9%abv double IPA you don't drink that out of the bottle. I couldn't really get her attention to get a glass so I drank it out of the bottle, and it was pretty ****ing horrible.

Anyway, rant off. If you're ever in there and your bartender is Amber (kind of short, not attractive, not very friendly and has a tendency to ignore her customers) move to a different location where she's not going to be taking care of you.

After moving in to my new house in SLC I went to Bout time at the gateway mall for dinner and caught the end of the second Lakers game. The food was good. Loved the Irish nachos. The staff was really nice and they gave all 4 of us each a $25 gift card for leaving a review on yelp. I would go again if another meet up happened.

I'd like to say the food is great but I'm too much a critic to recommend too much. It's great. I've never had a bad meal. Gator burger was unique. The salads are pretty f'in good. Ostrich, Buffalo, Kangaroo, Elk, Wild Boar, Antelope, & Wagyu Burgers on tap. Rest is standard pub grill fare.

It's a nice quiet place without the bar feel so the MoCo could come without feeling out of place. It's also within walking distance of Trax so the NoMoCo can get home safely. I'll be your concierge if needed. I ride it daily.

Service is great, and LOCAL.
