I think the logic behind it is you can't reverse a subjective judgment call with another subjective judgment call.

Which is easy to dispute, but regardless, under the rules, it was a subjective call and they were correct not to overtturn it.
I can agree with that.

But as for the general way they do replays, I think the call on the field is much more subjective due to the speed and angle of the call on the field.
The replays provide much better looks at the play and therefore I think they should just scrap the call on the field and look at the replays and figure out what they think the right call is

Want to talk about the refs screwing a team over, THAT is screwing a team over. Should've been offsides and a Utes first down.
 
The pass rush for the utes has been consistently good all night
