Teams I'm rooting for in order...

1) Cubs
2) Astros
3) Royals
4) Mets
5) Blue Jays
6) Rangers
7) Dodgers

8) Cardinals

It's sad that the closest the Dodgers actually came to manufacturing the runs necessary to keep in that game was Kershaw coming up 10-15 ft short of a homer with a couple guys on base.

Excellent Cubs win today. Thanks in large part to Kolten Wong and Jaime Garcia. Dodgers are in trouble facing Thor and having Greinke already give up 2 runs.

To add insult to injury the Mets lose tonight after a questionable replay call is made on a takeout slide at 2nd where Utley ends up breaking Tejada's leg.... Cub fans can certainly relate with Met fans tonight...

Purposely making a play on an infielder, rather than the base, to break up a DP is just dangerous. I've hated it for years, and I'm mystified that MLB allows it. Tejada is not the first guy to be seriously injured by that play.

I don't have a problem with it if you don't go over the bag to make contact. I do have a problem when you make no attempt at a slide and go over the bag or go outside of the accepted parameters. If you slide at a point where you can't make contact with the bag it is dangerous and irresponsible. I felt the Coghlan/Kang slide was clean last month. The Utley and Holliday(on Scutaro over the bag) seemed dirty.

I agree.

I thought the Cardinals were a lock. They were playing well and they have the experience. Two of the last four WS. Cubs put the hammer down.

As the biggest Dodgers fan on the board, I'm hoping they advance, but I don't see anyone beating the Cubs. They're rolling.
