My mistake Spazz, I didn't quote you. It was still in response to you though, and all of the other mods read it and dismissed it (except for one who chose to insult me). Class bunch yall are.
Could you define generally offensive please? So that we have an easier time not breaking your rules.
Basically, define what it is you want/don't want without using vague terms, it's your job.

This, I don't even know what the rules are. No racialism is a given, what else is not allowed though?
Specifically if 3 mods find it to be offensive.
Generally, if most of the Jazzfanz possible audience could find it to be offensive, that would be generally offensive.
If you feel like you want to come as close to the line as possible, then you are doing it wrong and should be willing to accept any moderation that comes of it.
The rule is general, not vague, for a reason. Jason can't write out and list every possible thing that is offensive. At some point you have to make a judgement call, just as the group of moderators will have to make a judgement call at some point. In this specific case many items in the thread were excessively and clearly sexual innuendos.
Keep in mind the audience is not only posters, but readers. Jason wants this to be a family site, and we as moderators have to assume there could be children reading and perusing this site.
Does this help a little?
Not really at all. You just reposted the rules in different words. How should I know what you find offensive? If you're going to punish people for what you find offensive, it might be a decent idea to say what it is you find offensive.
Or maybe people could just be adults and not go into threads they don't like.
Please.
I got the response. Let's see if my summary is accurate?
The thread in question got a lot of reports. It was a PITA to deal with all the reports. Some of the content was borderline. The mods have not indicated what causes one submission to be borderline, one to be acceptable and one to be inappropriate. What they do is close the thread.
There was a secret vote amongst an undisclosed number of mods that was unanimous. End of story. No further details need be discussed.
When people are unhappy the mods insult them and make threats.
Did I miss anything?
click the FAQ link at the top of the page and read the rules.
Basic Rules
As was stated when you signed up for a Jazzfanz account, you have agreed to “not post any messages that are obscene, vulgar, sexually-oriented, hateful, threatening, or otherwise violative of any laws.” Those are the Basic Rules. If you violate the Basic Rules, you have violated the terms of your membership and Jazzfanz has the right to suspend or ban your account after even a single violation.
Notice how I point out 'vulgar', there's a lot of that going on lately.
#StayClassy
Or people could just be adults and not post things that are against the rules if they are unable to understand what words in the rules mean.
Seriously, if you are unable to tell the difference between something that is excessively sexual in nature, and something that is not then buy yourself a private forum, or join one of the others that are going and post your stuff there.
