Thank God Utah's coaching staff and players won't be as dismissive of USC as their fans are because if that were the case, they'd get their asses handed to them this Saturday.
Depends on who gets injured and when and how bad the injuries are.Absolutely. The difference between us and them? We win our games, even with injuries.

Let's say Wilson gets injured in game one and is out for the year. And booker missed the year for some mysterious reason that no one knows. Then bookers backup goes down. Then his backup goes down. Then the utes best defensive player on the team goes down for 4 games. And against Michigan in game one you have 3 starters suspended.
What do you think the utes record would be in that scenario? (That is what byu has dealt with btw)
Like bawse dog said. Every team has injuries.
Utes have been blessed with no major injuries to their indespensible players in big games.
Ha ha. Do we get two lucky hail Mary's as well?
If you want to take this to the BYU thread, we can. I'm not sure why you keep bringing them up here.
BYU is the luckiest team in college football. Has any team ever won two games in one season on hail Mary's?
As far as depth for BYU, that's BYU's fault. They had great recruiting classes before they went Indy. Now their classes are terrible. That's on BYU. No luck there.
Again, if you want to continue this conversation, let me know and I'll head over to the BYU thread to talk about BYU.
This thread is the Utah thread, not BYU thread.
So does michigan state, tcu, Ohio state, teledo, baylor, and any other undefeated team left.
To be fair, Booker is a tiiinnnnnny bit better than BYU's RB. The suspensions are kinda their own faultand Taysom Hill is jealous of people who are made of glass.
Yup. That's why they are so good. Football is a sport of attrition. And depth. The really good teams have it. The mediocre teams don't. That's why a non-P5 should never be in the playoffs. They don't have the depth to compete, no matter how good their starters are.
Look at Utah. They have had 9 starters miss time due to injury. Boise, Utah State, BYU, Toledo, Temple, Memphis couldn't lose 9 starters at one time or another and remain undefeated.
Ok, forget byu.
My point was that the type of injuries, the timing of the injuries and the players who get injured make a difference.
Do you disagree with that? Do you think that utah would be undefeated if Wilson missed the whole season and booker missed 4 games or so and their best defensive player was out during their most crucial (toughest) games?

Injuries are huge. That's why I don't think non P5 teams should be in the playoffs.
If Utah lost Wilson for the year, would they be undefeated right now? I don't know. Maybe. Utah is winning because of their defense. They might still be undefeated.
What if Booker went down? That would be rough. BUT, Utah has had a very solid run game for a long time and we put another RB in all the time.
Injuries are tough. But Utah has a lot of depth. Depth that most teams don't have.
That's why they are undefeated.
