Are you not worried about Ingram's lower body strength? I know he is young and has a lot of time to mature and fill out, but those legs are extremely thin. I know that isn't necessarily a hindrance on ability to perform in the NBA, but still seems like he has a very slight frame that could struggle to add strength.
Not at all.. Ingram has
WAY too much going for him to get caught up on that. He's a certified game-changer. His demeanor's damn near perfect too, I don't know what more you could ask of a giant SF his age.
Ingram should be viewed in the light, that he's RAPIDLY improving and already incredibly skilled, I don't think that's overselling him.. He's going to be a match-up nightmare for a long time.. He passes the eye test with flying colors.
He appears gangly and maybe a bit raw initially, I guarantee you'll see
constant flashes of brilliance if you watch him closely though... He makes some things that many NBA SF's struggle with look rather effortless.. (Watch him shoot off the dribble)
His instincts, pace and poise, especially on offense, are nothing short of phenomenal - It's almost like he's been mentored by an NBA superstar, and took to the teaching well.. (Which is what happened.. Jerry Stackhouse has been working with him for years..)
He's got top-notch shot selection too, you can count on it, that's no BS. It's refreshing to see from a player so talented..
If UK had him instead of Mulder, I don't see how they'd lose more than a game or 2.. Even when he was ranked like 18th in the class I was on Jazzfanz posting that I wanted UK to land him more than any other prospect offered, even said stuff like I'd gladly miss on 2 or 3 names to land him..
Ingram's a GREAT fit on this Jazz roster.. I don't see how anyone could argue otherwise - give him all the backup SF minutes, he's fine, Its an upgrade to the offense and the rim protection/rebounding doesn't suffer at all, infact Ingram might be able to add to that advantage, a SF with a 9'2" standing reach next to Favors and Rudy, is really an obscene amount of length.. Plus If Hayward were to opt out and bail. Hood and Ingram are great candidates to fill in those minutes. Hayward would be about to turn 28 after that summer, Ingram would just be turning 20..
